As an accredited business communicator, I have consulted and written content for healthcare systems, Fortune 500 manufacturers, small businesses, consumer and trade publications, professional services, financial services and non-profits. In every role, there’s been a common thread: asking, searching, finding, analyzing, interpreting and sharing information in a way that helps people.
I’ve spent most of my life steeped in writing and communication planning, but I have also worked in customer service, sales, management and librarianship. It’s a career that prepared me to appreciate the nuances of communicating and getting along with all kinds of people and organizations.
I received my bachelor’s degree in public relations from Indiana State University and my master’s in library science at Indiana University. I have also served on the board of the Indianapolis Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Fashion Arts Society at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I’ve also served as a mentor to a dynamic group of high school girls at my church.
After I clock out, I’m a registered yoga instructor, rabid bibliophile, golf fanatic and aficionado of vintage clothes and accessories. No pets, no plants, no children except for the ones I happily borrow from friends and family.
