About us

My wanderlust is an inherited illness that has resulted in three major career changes. (Hey, I'm still married to the same guy after nearly 20 years.) Now in my fourth and final career (unless something better comes along), I follow my true passions: writing, recommending books for kids and adults, and teaching yoga that’s blended with other learning experiences and themes.

While meandering through four professions (I call them learning experiences) I completed a bachelor’s in public relations, a master’s in library science, and an accreditation by the International Association of Business Communicators based on real-world experience in public relations. In February 2010, I will finish a 200-hour program to certify yoga teachers, a pursuit that is more about enrichment than achievement. (No, I can’t do a headstand.)

A failure to stay in one place has cost me in some ways, but it comes in very handy for making some people feel more stable than they probably are. I'm a decent cook and a terrible but passionate golfer whose only earthly devotions are family, friends, and freedom from bondage. No pets, no plants, and no children other than the ones I happily borrow from friends and family.
